"Studying Actuarial Science at HKU has been an incredibly rewarding journey. The Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science (SAAS) offered a wealth of opportunities and resources that supported my academic and professional growth. The program equipped me with strong analytical skills and a solid technical foundation essential for actuarial exam progression. SAAS also has an extensive network with business firms and industry bodies, which opened doors for diverse connections and insights into the actuarial field. Through mentorships, firm visits, and internships, I gained valuable industry exposure that shaped my career direction. These experiences bridged the gap between textbook knowledge and the workplace, forming a solid foundation for my career advancement. In addition, exchange experiences broadened my global perspective, while research studies fulfilled my academic curiosity.
