The Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science (formerly known as the Department of Statistics) was founded in 1967. Over the years, the Department has undergone tremendous and impressive changes. It has not only achieved a world class profile in academic research, but also become a local brand name department in teaching and learning which draws admiring media coverage every year during the JUPAS exercise. However, the Department's proudest achievement is having nurtured a large family of promising graduates.
The 2007-08 academic year marks the 40th anniversary of the Department. In celebration of this memorable moment, we are going to organise a special dinner to reunite members of this big family spanning over four decades. Details of the function are as follows:
