Professor Ng said he viewed the Endowed Professorship as Mr. Poon¡¦s endorsement of the Department¡¦s achievements in teaching and research and he was greatly honored to receive the Endowed Professorship on behalf of the whole Department. Professor Ng also felt personally indebted to Mr. Poon for his kind endorsement on Professor Ng¡¦s recent academic work.
